Current gasoline prices in Petaluma BTW, I buy my gasoline usually at a station that has competition across the street on the way home from a Costco trip or driving home from windsurfing. Not a big deal but it saves 10 to 20 cents a gallon compared to using the station closest to my home. 🛢📈💲Regular gas in Petaluma, CA is nearly $4/gallon as they ban new gasoline stations. Cheapest Regular is $3.55 and most expensive is $3.99/gallon. My car takes Premium... How does this compare with your town? Generally, when cities do such things, existing ones become really valuable and really profitable. I recall when NYC refused to issue new cabbie licenses. Those who owned a cab medallion prospered greatly over the next several years. I had a neighbor who had one. Just the sticker. It went to over $200k I believe. Same here in this state with liquor licenses. Plus the owners of the legacy items become among the most fervent supporters of the ban. Funny how the market economy works. I am watching what our various governments are attempting to wipe out now. I foresee a very profitable future in hoarding gas, ammo, and collections of Dr. Suess books...the ones just deemed racist. Within a few more years, beef is likely to get added to the list. Serious on the gas...about to put in a couple of storage tanks here on the ranch for gas and diesel. lh
