FWIW, Added to South Jersey Industries (SJI) as they just announced a secondary. This NG distributor s/d now pay a 5% dividend. Not sure where it will settle out once the offer is priced into the market but looks like it is/was over done. Secondary increases the float by 6%.

Last $22.38/share -19.66%

ORI. Following you and reducing ORI position. I look at its current dividend, which isn't attractive to me at about 4%. Good history though and some insider buying here at about current price.
It might be time to trim, but I can’t find better values easily. 4% dividend yield and 5% growth yields 9% total return which is pretty good. In addition, I think we will see special dividends from time to time.

I am just holding, having sold too early many times unless I find a better stock.

My recent adds are BABA and VNT (FTV spin-off with Danaher heritage).

Old Republic Reports Results For The Second Quarter And First Half 2021

Consolidated net premiums and fees earned increased 29.1% for the quarter and 23.5% for the year-to-date period. General Insurance earned premiums experienced mid-single digit growth over similar 2020 periods where exposure levels were impacted by the economic effects of the pandemic, while Title Insurance continued to experience robust growth in premium and fee revenues as low interest rates and a favorable real estate market persisted.
Favorable investment valuation trends, along with higher retained earnings, contributed to an increased book value per share of $22.59 as of June 30, 2021 from $20.75 at December 31, 2020 .
-----------------------------------------------------------------

First mention by Spekulatius 9/21/2020 and I bought in at $14.47/share. Sold 40% 3/15/3021 @ $22.40/share. Market likes today's earnings; pre-market $25.50/share +4.34%

Going to hold current position as housing boom s/d continue; their premium and fee revenues in General Insurance s/d continue to grow.
