First LL... I want to apologise for being so strident.. you have only been polite... I am not wont to jump on someone first.. tit for tat sure.. I can and have given back hard.. but I was too harsh in my statement.. my tone was unwarranted... a little stressed these days with moving and stuff.. so I very am sorry for that..

here is where we disagree..

It's would be the same as trying to control micron size toxic particles.I understand that.. BUT these particles as I said travel in droplets etc.. They are typically bound to a transport medium which is in fact restricted by a mask .. so looking at the size in a vaccum sure.. but it does not typically travel on it's own .. that is why I think masks work..

Likely we should let the poor dead horse rest .. neither of us at this point is going to convince the other :)

Cheers

Jack

Might there be some differences between how we would guard against a living, water-borne virus and a microscopic inorganic particle of a particular shape and size that can lie inert for centuries, yet still maintain the characteristics that make it deadly?

You should go back to blowing smoke around your mask to illustrate how you can blow smoke around your mask.
