People have actually researched and studied bubbles extensively.
The short version is that you should never bet on a bubble (long or short) b/c:

(1) it's almost impossible to know ahead of time if it really is a bubble (i.e. will end in a 40% drop)
(2) even when you correctly identify a bubble it is nearly impossible to time it accurately and the volatility can kill you, and
(3) only a fraction of bubbles end up in losses. The majority either even out or actually end up ahead of the curve despite their 40% or so drop.
And no, outside of things like EV, BTC, etc I don't think there is a bubble.
