Then it should be easy for you to answer Fama. Find a set of criteria that decisively separates bubbles from non-bubbles ahead of time. Backtest it and show for example that they would have kept you out of dot-com in late 1999 but not in late 1998. The paper already has a list of bubbles. It should be easy to backtest your metrics on them.


You will make a good name for yourself if you prove Fama wrong.
