D.Long mentioned there were drugs, chewed up tablets in the back of the police cruiser. Most likely, Floyd tried to swallow the drugs in his possession in order to avoid extra charges. That would explain why he was relatively OK when first talking with the police - and later lost it, stopped resisting - and died. Sounds like he overdosed while in police custody. Don’t ask me how this is possible, but that’s what it sounds like. Must have had drugs hidden on his person.

I’m pretty sure I remember that on the video one could see that there was no heavy pressure on his neck / head. But, the stress may have contributed to him getting a cardiac arrest.

Personally, I don’t think Chauvin killed him. But - having subdued and restrained the man, it was his responsibility to make sure he remained well. That, he neglected,
