I dont know that diversification is the same as hedging. but if you can buy assets in india or china for a lot less than the same cash flow would cost in the united states i think it makes sense to allocate some of your portfolio there. the question is has any thought about criteria for determining those allocations or is it just seat of the pants.

I added some NRZ. i thought it interesting that the ceo was awarded options to be exercised a bit over $17 so he must think this is an achievable target. in the meantime the yield is over 7% . stuck in my roth ira so taxes no issue. I continue to hold nrz-a which as i predicted now sells for a small premium.. at these level i definitely prefer nrz to the preferred but would incurr taxes on the sale so im holding.
