Because of the newness of our technology, the Company has asked that I do not use their name until the systems have been in operation for some time. This is to avoid any embarrassment to them if things go off the track. We have replaced a system originally supplied by one of the major SCADA manufacturers, so I suspect that they do not want to burn their bridges until they are fully confident that our system will do all the things we say it can do. I can tell you that it is the same Company our first one was tried on and the first system is meeting everyone's expectation. I can also say that the first system we installed was the second try by the customer to replace the original equipment. Their first attempt to replace it was using another major SCADA supplier, which was unsuccessful. The producer's problem was that a number of systems installed in their gas fields used the original supplier's equipment containing a proprietary protocol. The second supplier was unable to integrate that equipment into their system and the customer had it removed. Unitec has a very powerful protocol analyzer built into its software which allowed us to install and configure our system in three days. In this new application, we must also communicate with the original equipment plus our own. The communications power built into our hardware and software gives us the edge to handle multiple protocols and to decypher protocols that OEMs do not release. As they have unsuccessfully tried replacements by other (larger) SCADA manufacturers, the customer wants to see the systems perform for a while longer before we use their name publicly to save the embarrassment if it too fails. For us, we have done this so many times already, it is a "no brainer" for us. As it has been operating well, it's simple: "it works or it doesn't". It does. When they let me use their name, I will announce it on this site. The area that it is installed is northern Alberta, several hours drive from Edmonton. I can also say that they have told us that they will replace a large number of systems throughout this year with our equipment if we continue to perform. Regards, John
