Yes, and a person using drugs can die for lots of reasons that don't involved another person. One of those reasons is losing control to the extent that he is unable to obey police orders, and must be aggressively subdued, and has a heart attack in the process.

Make no mistake: I do not in any way approve of the handling of Mr. Floyd by the police. It wasn't necessary and I can easily see how it contributed to his death.

But you can't just say, "The officer made him have a heart attack and is therefore responsible for his death."

I become anxious just looking at the way the man was held.

But he did put himself in that position. There has to be personal responsibility accounting somewhere.
