There is so much wrong with this comment.

First, if his job was to shoot anyone coming through that door, why were the half dozen or so cops who were on the landing not reacting to the breaking of the glass? It took them between 4 and 5 seconds from the time of the gunshot to get back to the top of the landing. If the breaking of the glass was such a big deal, why did THEY not climb the stairs in the five seconds between the breaking of the glass and the gunshot? They certainly heard the glass being broken, and if that is the other guy's job it is these cops' as well. Why did they not respond as though it were an emergency until Babbitt was killed?

Secondly, there were any number of cops -- but well more than a few -- standing throughout the hallway -- at least one or two about half way, and several at the end of the hall. Was it THEIR job, too? Or just the shooter's? Because they sure as hell weren't rushing forward to provide support when the window broke.

I believe the unjust hatred against this woman is evidence you guys are scared shitless. Because you know damned well your position is totally untenable. You cannot support the murder of a 16 year veteran as a matter of convenience against a peaceful protest (at the very least, more peaceful than the protests you normally refer to as peaceful).

It is pathetic really. Can you not be honest with even yourselves for a few moments, long enough to consider what you're doing?

Standing up against a government run amuck is a pretty high calling.
