Jeff, Do you see Semtech as long term play or a trading stock (meaning ride it while techs are strong and sell). The reason I ask that is some companies like CSCO have moved up 3000% over the last 10 years whereas AMD has gone up and down in the same range. What do you see as the major growth longterm for SMTC? For CSCO it was routers and they had long term demand to connect computers together (pretty straight forward). I am just getting the annual report to learn more about what they exactly do but wondered your thoughts since you seem so bullish.

*OFF TOPIC*

Jeff-

Cursory review: PENG looks like a good value, but what is the outlook for 1998? Oil exploration and production companies may be affected by the drop in crude prices more than equipment manufacturers. Speaking of which, LUFK is releasing Q4 results in about 2 weeks, and I expect the actual numbers to greatly exceed the estimate. Unless the CEO's outlook is less than favorable, the stock should react very positively. Hopefully, the good news will reverse LUFK's small downtrend.
