That's as may be. But do you really think Monica isn't? She--by Bleiler's account, at least--wanted to have an affair with Bill, and if she succeeded, well, fine. But talking about it to everyone she knew--including a DATE--is really, really TACKY.

The IHT had an interesting article today: they'd talked with novelists about the Monica Thing. One said that if he'd ever submitted anything with the story of the Stained Souvenir Dress, it'd have been turned down as unbelievable. And the story DOES seem originally to have been Monica's. If not, whose?
