I wish you have had the courage to confront your 29-year old boss instead of laughing it off. After he told me for the second time that we were "meant for each other" I told him he was an idiot. It took him a few weeks to get it, but he didn't want to antagonize me because I edited his dreadfully written memos. In the end, they actually offered me an "executive position" with the firm. I don't know what the details would have been, because I was in grad school and for me it was just a summer job (and they were all nuts, anyway), so I said no. You don't get MY point, I think. This behavior wasn't threatening to me, merely irritating. Like so many other behaviors. Hey, I smoke. I'm tolerant.
