I agree with your frustrations. I basically watch and wait with thousands of dollars going nowhere. I keep thinking that it has to take off soon but it never seems to.

Another frustration is that I just purchased a TV card for my brand new Dell 300MHz pc and my cable company, Comcast, said that they do not have any plans to broadcast over the VBI. That has to hurt interest too (when people find that there is no transmission via their cable company.) ps. I do enjoy watching TV while I work but would like to be able to download info as well.

Any idea how one could put pressure on a cable company to offer the service if and when it ever does come out???

I have been in this stock much longer and share your frustrations to some extent. Some things to note when your compare them to others:
1. Many other companies have tools/products/ideas that relate to the current way of doing business on the internet. Wavetop is the next generation of tool.
2. The entire industry has been slower than expected to reach this next level. All of the pieces must be in place or none of it works. This includes content, delivery, hardware to receive it, and an educated and needy consumer. All of these are coming to fruition this year and will take off next year.
3. If you want to compare progress, look at the troubles Intel has had with Intercast.
4. Microsoft is with us.
If you don't believe the others, then believe #4.
Patience and profit.
