j.b. thanks for the kind words and review. read today the fidelity is planning to come out with 2-3 new funds this year to appeal to people like us who worry about moving that behemoth around. small caps and a combined bond and equities fund at least. don't know if they'll show up in my 401 offering as my parent company is also a behemoth that doesn't move too quickly as well. oh well, at least their stock (MAS) is performing nicely and the dividend checks are always welcome. good luck

hey jim---don't know where i came across the info, but read somewhere about a site called fundalarm. signed on tonight and printed up a bunch a stuff which i'll now read.
they benchmark various funds against appropriate indexes and then summerize on an alarm list advising you to dump. ever heard of it and if so interested to hear your thoughts.
thanks.
