Hey Steve and thanks.

Yep, i'm here. Been trying to find any news that could account for todays action, but no luck. Something big is up or at least someone thinks something big is up to cause this kind of jump. Or maybe my arguments about the comparative value of WCII and TGNT finally sunk in on the street? :-}

Regards to all,
Dub

I also thought that poster meant BT. However, that was one post out of many. There is no telling where he got that info. Certainly, one of us would have picked up the same info somewhere. It wasn't that long ago that someone posted that WCII would be bought out that week. The poster quoted some broker. I have disregarded this 'BK' or whatever as I did last time.

What do we know. WCII has made a good move. Why ? We don't know. Well, yes we do. It was worth more than 34 to the 'street' so they say. People are buying it. Period. Question is---who is selling ? Are there those picking up a fast 10 % and getting out ? Maybe. There is a WCII ground swell now. This movement and attention will attract all kind of investors.

WCII is showing strength and a sustained upward move. I would not be surprised to see profit taking tomorrow. Nothing goes straight up and all investors are not long timers like some of us. If it continues up, then we know institutions are getting in. Well, it seems that was confirmed today. We should be OK unless that minivan WindStar has a major recall :-)

<The real question: Where the heck are Dub and Paul today? >

Oh I'm here, but haven't had a lot to add. I think the BT rumor is an interesting one. Clearly BT wants in to the US market (although WCII is a relatively small foothold, compared to an MCI) and WCII has dipped a toe into the Euro-pond. The biggest stumbling block I could see would be the difference between what WCII thinks they are worth and how the street is currently valuing them (though that has been improving a tad recently). There is still a big gap there, and with all the action of late, WCII mgmt may have revised upwards what they think the true value of the company is. Also, I'd think both parties would want to see how the auctions turn out. As a great philosopher of the western world used to say..."I love it when a plan comes together."
