in the meantime, news, square shall aim to cease dealing in Xinjiang carbon-bitgold, likely by installing Xinjiang-content solar cells to mine for solar green bitgold, either directly, to do more expensive Zhejiang or Shangdong solar cells, and indirectly encourage others to do same but cheaper with Xinjiang solar cells

My guess would be that Elon has realized substantive risks exist, tied to his penchant for opinionating... as the SEC might not always be suppine, if the winds change, etc.

Looks to me like a strategy intended to desensitize the markets to his opinions... to reduce liability risks... and provide proofs of no manipulative intent...
