Oh, Tut tut... They dogged Reagan and Bush so as to catch every foible they could and then display it proudly like a dog with a bone every hour on the hour via radio and then on the 6 oclock evening news.

Surething: All the presidents had ways of eluding the press. One of Reagan's was the "hard of hearing above the noise of the helicopter" routine. Can you recount even once when Clinton has stopped to answer questions extemporaneously getting off the 'copter? Of course not but you don't see the negative reports from the press about his evasion as you did with Reagan.
