Thank you very much Oh Learned One Tim for your clarifications and articles that you responded with. Although I found the articles a bit on the complicated side for me, they were helpful. Well now I understand that HLIT is not in the lead with their technology but putting a valiant effort to catch up fast with COMS and BAY. Permit me to ask a simple but I think important question: Will the fact that COMS and BAY being ahead of HLIT and better connected in the US mean that once specific cable companies have used a certain supplier's products it will be difficult for them to add, mix and match products from another supplier like HLIT???? I would like your opinion Oh Learned One Tim on Archer's comment last week that most of HLIT's business is in the optical transmission and receiving area and not so much in the headend area: Does that agree with your understanding? if so is that the area where you feel that COMS and BAY is ahead of HLIT in? Is it specific products that they are ahead in or the fact that they offer a more complete solution and coverage??? Does the optical transmission and reception area require commodity type of products and thus price becomes eroded with competition or is it a highly technical area that requires technical superiority to be effective??? Forgive my asking so many questions Oh Learned One Tim however I am trying to get a handle on the potential. When you said that their scalable optical node should be a good seller, did you mean because it is technically superior? better priced? or for another reason? Is that a headend product or an optical transmission/reception product? Thanks for your information.
