<Democrats for not fighting the Republicans> I'll give you partial credit - they did not fight the banks. As a soon-to-be retiree... the more I learn about this, the more disturbed I am. Don't even go to the co-mingling of US national assets with cheap loans with forgiveness to corporations. Rule number one in any fiduciary responsibility is Keep the assets separated Why was this done in secret under both Democrats AND Republicans? Why did no one go to jail for the 2008 crisis? How much of Ford do I actually own as an American citizen? Who actually backs the Federal dollar and with what kind of assets? Are those assets safe and how are they insured? With near zero interest rates, how much mortgage insurance do banks actually purchase? Is the Fed subsidizing usury credit card interest rates and payday lenders (I know this one!!) ?
