Zeuspaul,

<<What size computer are you thinking about? We can work on more
configurations. So far we are looking at two high end machines, one
graphics oriented and one for daytraders. Maybe we need a network
machine.

I am looking at a minimum 266-PII or PII-300 if the new 333's knock the price of the 300's down. I have heard that the 300 only provides 4% more speed than a 266. If that is the case and the 266's become really cheap...then how about a dual processor like a Digital system? Five "dual processor" (532 total) DEC's were auctioned on Onsale about two weeks ago (over the weekend) for around $2K. (Of course network ready)

Ever since I have seen that dual processor configuration I have wondered what it would enhance in terms of a regular system performance. I would imagine that given the power of that set-up that
NT would be the only logical OS right now.

I had thought about a dual boot "type" of configuration using one smaller IDE hardrive for DOS/Workgroups and the main being a new Ultra Wide-Scuzzi for NT. That brings up the question, "can an IDE and a Scuzzi co-exist" and both operate together? Otherwise the partitioning of one large Scuzzi to accomodate the multiple O.S. would considerably speed things up in the 16 bit software category and shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Now you really have going here. I will reread all the old posts to get up to speed with the two systems you are designing. Thanks for your fast and courteous response.
