Nothing will be effective with "the redneck". "White privilege", as a concept, has worked pretty well to wake up a lot of other people. The conversations have been productive. The attempts to address centuries of white dominance, aggression and violence have been a step forward. I don't know what other adjective and noun you could use to better get across the blissful ignorant privilege of the white person who can blithely espouse that things are "equal" for black folks and white folks...
