and that is why most in CA are still wearing masks indoors and I still see a lot wearing masks outdoors! NOBODY here trusts the government and this is CA run by Democrats elected by an overwhelming majority.

You know we get blamed for being racists here for "forcing the poor and people of color" to live near highways and refineries where there are problems causing asthma and other respiratory diseases from the emissions. Oddly these refineries were there before the housing and I grew up in a poor area next to a freeway that was being built... houses were cheap BECAUSE they were in an undesirable area.

It is like we are forced to allow massive immigration of the poor who come here to better themselves then get blamed with they can't afford to live in a ritzy area where the community has taxed themselves to get nice things.

I have to admit that my good looking, young (52) yr old neighbor just had a stroke and will probably be awhile to recover... before she was out running by my house many times a week and her husband was quite upset when he told me. She faces a lot of rehab and we hope for a full recovery but she lost some function. Far too young and far too healthy for a stroke. My first thought was she is probably one of the outliers that had a bad reaction to the vaccine since the last time we spoke at length they were looking forward to being "fully vaccinated" but being, like me, ultra cautious until then.
