Bobby, <<I don't have a clue as to warning>>,, , with the weapons of mass destruction floating around this planet, one should not play with fire, which is what the US appears to be doing. IMHO, Although TV makes it out as some kind of video game or wwf event, "Desert Storm"' The truth is it's ugly and deadly and very dangerous.
cheers, russell

Bobby--Yeltsin is in serious trouble at home. His currency is worth less each day, morale is low, people are hungry and fed up, his leadership is in question. He must divert attention from problems at home. A war is a good way to beef up the economy.

May be an alliance forming with Yeltsin/Arabs.

Silver mainly held early European gains at midday on Wednesday after
failing to recover overnight peaks, while the dollar gave up brief gains achieved after Russian President
Boris Yeltsin said U.S. President Bill Clinton's moves over Iraq could lead to world war. Looks like Boris needs a "wag the dog" also!
In the bullion market, spot silver fixed at $7.0500 an ounce in London Wednesday, the highest since
July 1988, while one month silver lease rates remained around 25 pct, reflecting the backwardation in
the market.

Silver prices have already gained about 13 pct in the last four days, and are up about 60 pct since
mid-1997.

Buffet said he had already taken delivery of 87.5 million ounces of silver and had contracted for a
further 42.2 million ounces for delivery at various dates until March 6, but would would be willing to
defer delivery for a reasonable period on payment of a ''modest fee'' if any seller should have trouble
making delivery.

Overnight news that U.S. investor Warren Buffett had bought a large stake of the world silver supply
pushed prices to a nine-year high of $7.02 an ounce in Asia on buying by U.S. and Australian
investment funds and bullion banks.

Bobby, Pete's probably closer to the truth about Yeltsin than I.

>>Hi do you have any comments about Yelsin's announcing that if the US
goes >>

Hi Bobby I sure do.. Yeltzin is indeed correct about war, civil
that is and not in Iraq but in Russia..As precarious position
as russia is in, he has stupidly played a Super Hero in Iraq
stakng his prestige on somebody like Saddam pretending that He is the most important player..what is he going
to tell angry Russians now..that he was spanked?
Now he has to tell Clinton-do not undermine me..If I go down
Russia would explode...not that it will over Iraq, but any
vacuum or further damage to what remains of central authority
is cumulative...(just like Monica case?)
