When I worked for Corrals the bookmaker (horse race betting), we found that the favourite did not win as often as it should do, according to the odds. This was not a conrivance by the bookies, or their fault.

It's just one of those things. Were criminals involved ? Sometimes, but more often then not, gangs of horse race manipulators would lose their butts. Saw it several times.

Dark horses are always in with a chance -g-

Specially if there are lots of dark horses, and new entrants will be coming on stream every day before long imho. Just imagine if they decide to get synchronized !
