I'd just qualify that the common belief is that LU cannot do a pooling of interest until 10/1/98, at "midnight" (this being the comment of some LU rep).

I'm sure your source is more accurate than mine. I do have a friend at T and I'll see if he knows anything different.

Gary, there is still some confusion here. True, they cannot do a pooling of interest until October (which means accounting for Good Will), but I was under the impression that they can do a stock swap anytime they want. Anyone have a definitive answer?
