Don’t be so sure.

Wolves are fascinating creatures. Love them.

Read Rise of Wolf 8 and Reign of Wolf 21 to learn how human-like and complex they are.

My two animal obsessions are wolves and butterflies.

Saw a silvery blue on recent trip to Montana. Not too rare, but a very short season in the high country so I was happy to see it.

The one I found had a rather large spot on the top of its blue right forewing, which I don’t think is normal in silvery blues. If so, I cannot identify it. Something rare? Perhaps, but unlikely. It would be a major, major thrill to find a rare butterfly.

Silvery blues are way cool. Read about their very interesting partnership with black ants here. Silvery blues and aggressive black ants get along together a lot better than humans.
