thread .... IMO....probably not a takeover story move....my veeco [veco] was up huge also [25 %]......these two stocks in particular have been oversold and a smart fund family probably said lets grab some today, these babies are cheap.....plain and simple.......i liked todays action so much that if you don't mind "i'll have another sir".......

This could be just one of those run ups where speculators pump up a stock, then short it. The whole sector had a run up, (although SFAM was clearly the big winner) and companies like SFAM are a prime target for such speculators having a low float and low average daily volume. I'd be careful not to get carried away with takeover rumors. I recall one of the company officers saying that they were NOT at all interested in a buyout a year or so back. But then again, I could be wrong. Just my $0.02
