Politics blew it. Trump tried to pressure China to share data by calling it the "China Flu" and his opponents seized on this to call him a racist then took us down that rat hole with BLM protests, etc. to avoid the real issue that China had a lot of data, may have been the source of the virus released from a lab and was shown on some videos welding doors shut on buildings to keep COVID infected people inside. Consumer Confidence fell off a cliff. facebook.com Here in CA the unemployment office is STILL behind getting money to people who lost their jobs. The news last night said they gave over $32B (with a freaking B) to fraudsters who took advantage of the system with many of the filings for unemployment coming from jails! I think that is about $1,000 per legal resident in CA... They went to the EDD office to see people waiting in line to get in and try to get a person to help them get their money and learned the workers went to "work from home" decades ago after an unhappy customer shot the place up... This week we see that after spending $2T and over 6,000 US lives with the president saying on TV and posting on the White House website that the fall of Afghanistan was NOT inevitable since they had 300,000 well trained troops compared to the Taliban with only 75,000.... If our own president and his staff are that clueless about something we spent $2T on.... how can you believe anything they say? What happens?
