Good morning Pat, the Nas shows plus 1000. The candy store
opens at 9:30 and all is free
How about a look at a real president, who despite his pluses or minuses, should be a credit to the democratic process
rjgeib.com.
Its a good omen that Rosemary is on board with spaz, dell, and cpq..
In the past week Mikie should have moved up about 4 or
5 notches on the richest men in the US list, passing the 4 waltons
who have only 6.5 bil each.Hard to tell because the list is not up
to date.
With a little old bank loan Mr. Dell could have personally bought DEC as the sole owner had he chose to do that.
If fearful of the mighty combine of cpq and dec, keep in mind that Dell has been up against the biggies his entire career, ibm,
cpq, nec, apple, toshiba, and all the rest. And its Dells ideas
the others are being forced to copy.
It is going to be the company's top to bottom efficiency (ala H. Ford)that determines the winner, not size.
( Ford, BTY,was said to have 30,000 computers ,no
wonder Mr. Pheiffer was miffed to lose the contract)
As far as CPQ getting a better discount on chips due to larger orders, that becomes less a factor each day as the INTC prices decline and chips costs become a lesser percentage of the computer. And as
in the past, with smaller orders, Dell will still be able to
pass along new price cuts faster that cpq can.

I happen to be pleased that cpq is doing great
as it speaks well for the whole industry in the US.
