Why would organizations of America's most influential people, people with vast old-money wealth be so interested in lowering "living standards for the haves and raise them for the have nots until we all meet somewhere in the middle". ? And to think they have been doing this for over 100 years. It would seem there must be some kind of motive for this action, considering it's a multi-generational quest. Are they being thwarted by the new wealth and greed of Warren Buffett and BIll Gates ?

"Carbon is not bad.".
I guess your school was so busy teaching politics they didn't have time for any logic.
Is that really the premise you think climate change arguments were made on ? I'm not sure if that is a strawman argument or a vacuous truth argument.
