I have, over that past year, caused thousands of dollars to be spent with my urologist. Aside from the office visits, the expenses involved a failed Urolift procedure, followed a few months later by the TURP procedure to make it all right. Not to get into the billing details, the insurance paid the bulk of that and, of course, I had the co-pays.

A few weeks ago the urologist's office sent me a bill for $1.60, show it due "immediately". Calling them put me through to a fast talking bean counting lady who gave me a blah, blah, blah until I finally said "forget it, I'll pay".

I know I probably could have handed this over to my insurance company to deal with, but I didn't want to get down to the same petty, penny counting level as the bean counter.
