More bad news for AMD, from Briefing.
09:30 ET Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) 20: Chip maker says it does not plan to participate in anymore investor conferences in the 1st qtr, according to CNBC sources.
Remember what happened to CYMI when it skipped a conference a few months ago. From 100 down to 30 (split adjusted). Look at the whole market the last few days, and AMD could not break the resistance at 20.

<Kryotech has demonstrated K6 running at 375MHz cooling at -40C. With ABIT new 100MHz board to be released this month, PC World should do the benchmarking like you said. I'll be interested to see the result.>

I hope they'll compare it to a Deschutes running at 533mhz on a 100mhz bus too! My guess is that the Intel chip is closer to being a reality.

Maxwell - re: "Kryotech has demonstrated K6 running at 375MHz cooling at -40C"

That would be real "cool".

Of course, they should also "cool" the Pentium II and overclock the daylights out of it and see just how fast it can go.

Re: "Kryotech has demonstrated K6 running at 375MHz cooling at -40C."

It is instructive to compare this against Intel's demonstration of a 433Mhz cooled P-II a full year ago. Intel's part was made on a .35 process as well....
