Okay so the author addresses it in the comments - by large tech stocks he means not the biggest, Google and FB but still 'large' which I guess makes sense with his put on ARKK etf.

"The article mentions farmland, any suggestions on investing in farmland? Farmland REITs (any favourites)?"

I've never looked into farmland as an investment. I don't currently own much in the way of REITs as I'm more into owning a property asset myself as you'll see with my exchanges with Elroy.

With regard to "Barrick Gold", I'd say that this type of investment would be a sound idea in the current intended Spending Frenzy that the current US administration is involved in ... several Trillion dollars that the country doesn't have and thereby increasing its Debt "astronomically", and thereby fueling Inflation which is already around 5.4%. 3 Years ago it was half that at 2.7% ....... I believe I made a comment in that regard back in April this year...... Message 33298341

Barrick Gold has shown reasonably good ongoing increases in its Total Revenue and Net Income .....

..... with a healthy current Net Profit Margin of 2516/12668 = ~20%.

One would have more or less doubled one's money over 3 years ......
