Larry,

I agree with your thoughts. New markets would create a large capital requirement with net results probably far, far down the road. I can only hope that CVUS has tested the waters and somehow feels that when they 'open their doors for business' there will be customers wanting their services. I don't want to imagine that they didn't test the waters and at least believe that a few bidders will want to purchase what they are offering for sale. What's the possibility of all bidders planning to do the build out, in house? I also guess that this means that they will not be partnering with others who are bidding..

Ed...

It scares me.

I think it shows that CVUS couldn't come up with any money for the up front bidding fees. This means a) they're broke, b) nobody was willing to finance them, and c) nobody was willing to form any alliances.

I remain heavily in doubt whether CVUS (actually make that CT&T) controls any patents or proprietary information that will keep them a player in LMDS after the auction. Does anybody have any info that says any winning bidders will have to pay CVUS (or CT&T) for any technology or patents? Or will this technology leave CVUS in the dust? Are they destined to just being another small player in the NY market?

I feel the not bidding and not bringing in any Teleco type management is indicating that the company will be for sale shortly. And that's probably whats best for shareholders.

Sorry for continueing to be so negative, but while I see great things for LMDS, I just don't see CVUS in much of a position to benefit.

Larry,
Given the fact of their current financial situation, I believe it is the only way to go at this point. It is also the best way to go for current stock holders. As you pointed out, building out another system would entail more up front expenses without cash flow to support it. This way they have the opportunity to concentrate on their strength and to develop cash flow in the high speed internet market. Then they can complete the build out in their own area and expand on the services they offer.
