Hi Kirk,

Each year I try to cut 15 to 20 Boxelder trees.

They are in the maple family. Nice pretty light colored wood. They are a hardwood, but invasive. They prosper on the edges of the woods and crowd out Wisconsin native flowers and other more valuable trees.

All of that wood is cut and stacked and aged. My new young neighbor has a wood boiler and heats his house with it. I give him all of my boxelder cuttings.

Many people in Wisconsin use wood burning boilers for their winter heating.

I think many of your state's problems come from over population (as I'm sure you agree).
