I think conservative values work because history shows it works and the alternatives, if taken to the extreme, becomes glaringly obvious that it won't work. There might be a golden "middle ground" where some socialistic, PC, green alternative to pure conservative capitolism might get by, but on a pure play level, as ugly as some of what I'm about to say is, it is the best, bad alternative choice. It is pretty much accepted that a two parent home gives a child the best hope at a stable environment, good education opportunity upbringing that launches them on a productive adult path. As dumb as Dan Quayle appeared I think in hindsight he was dead on correct when he attacked Murphy Brown for promoting single motherhood along with the other liberal media agendas being pushed. The whole do it if it feels good, broken home thing has us now where the gap between the haves and have nots is greater than ever. The liberals point to everything except themselves just like the have nots blame everyone except themselves. In most cases, it comes down to simply education (in an actual useful field) and work ethic. College used to be engineering, medicine, physics, chemistry, etc now it's gender studies, Legos and other useless crud. Have you supervised todays floor level workers? They disappear in the bathroom for extended time periods playing on their phones, talk about sports instead of working or concentrating on their work. Out of 20 workers, you have probably 3-4 that compare to what was average 30-40 years ago. HR ties your hands to do anything about it though. Everything and everybody is "special" now in our new liberal society. But where are we going to draw the line. Do you realize how many people are walking around now days on mood altering drugs. There are some serious psycho cases out there wandering around just waiting for disaster if they don't take their pill. We blame guns, the police but ignore that the numbers of people requiring antipsychotic medications are climbing. The number of people requiring "safe spaces", being tramatized by everyday occurances is climbing and climbing. These people are breeding, passing on and multiplying these genetic traits and we celebrate it. I know I'm talking to walls. I know it's not PC but it is common sense. Natural selection and conservative values got us this far. Like I said, take it to the extreme. 100% of the population is gay. Other than test tube babies, where does the next generation come from? Medical science and the right to have kids. Where do we draw the line? If we can cure every disability and guarantee the ability to breed, do we just end up with a humanity where everyone is born with MS, MD, no arms, legs, all organs failing, 6 heads on a petri dish with a body that looks like snot but we aren't allowed to reassemble it to look like we do today even though we could because every blob is beautiful and unique and special so we keep it alive and we let it breed into the next de-evolution. If we keep going down this path, one of two outcomes is inevitable. 1.) We just become weak, society collapses and we get taken over by a group that used common sense and rose to power via being conservative. 2.) Robotics does everything useful run by a small group of conservative haves laughing that they were able to sucker everyone into sealing their own doom. Everyone muddles around playing artist, rapper and is given just enough to get by. The haves own everything. It is easy to tell who is who because the have nots labeled themselves via tattoos and complexion. Ever see the cartoon "The Oblongs"? That's probably pretty accurate.
