Initial stimulus was a preemptive strike in reaction to the unknowns of a global pandemic. Everything was perceived to be lurching to an abrupt halt. By the beginning of this year, we were able to see that everything was recovering and the economies of the world were functioning with only hiccups here and there. Therefore there was no reason to continue stimulus other than for political theatrics and agenda pushing.
Big difference.
