You did not get that "education" is an indoctrination to some set of principles and facts/assumptions that are transferred in whole or part to the student. Whether those are true or not and whether the student internalized them as process changes distinguishes the kind of education one gets. Who's measuring and what is considered "true"?

Education is abstract (like beauty) and discussing it without a curriculum and a verification process for the knowledge transfer is vapid. Repeating rhetoric about James Flynn-IQ boosts ignores the fact that smart people on the planet became Nazis or members of the KKK, and proposing "education" as some panacea does not advance discussion or cure the problem.

It is clear that some if not many people who went to the same schools I did came out effed up in terms of their political and social viewpoints. There is some weak correlation but lots, and lots of R's are "educated'. And many people without education vote for democracy.
