I don't think either WinStar or Teligent would be interested in CVUS. WinStar already owns 700 MHz at 38 GHz in NYC. That's probably enough for their plans. There is also a 38 GHz auction scheduled for later this year if WinStar wanted to pick up any more spectrum. A much more likely target, IMO, for WinStar would be someone like ARTT who could probably be bought for not much more than CVUS, but has 38 GHz licenses across America (and some in Europe). I think WinStar and Teligent have registered to bid for 28 GHz just to fill in gaps in their current coverage. I wouldn't think they'd have plans to bid where they already have pretty substantial holdings.

Anyway, persistant rumors have WinStar themselves being bought shortly. Stock price has been moving up fast for no reason. I'd put the chance of a deal happening in the next couple months at probably 50/50.

I'd think a much more likely candidate to buy CVUS would be one of the Baby Bells.

Whoops, sorry, didn't mean to take your 1000 th post.

James,
After being bought by Aetna, LBOed by KKR, and sold to current owner. Nothing surprises me. It would also be a good deal for me. However, would it be a good deal for the majority owners? Let's face it they own almost 70% of the stock. Somehow, I think they will get funds to make this thing go using value of license. Buy out would be nice quick profit for us, build out would be a major long term fortune. Either way we are winners.
