My sister is a thin, toned, blond woman who's had her arm inside cows and horses so I have to chuckle a little when I read your comment. The need to put down an animal is a necessity and a bullet is the fastest way to do it. As you know they have to get close to the animal first, so they pet it, talk to it, calm it and then kill it.

I remember when a special horse got out of the fence and my sister grabbed a gun (which she's never shot in her life) as we searched the road for her horse. We found it and it was okay but just in case.

As for the fetus I have a few ideas based on what I know to be true. I know death begins when the brain stops working so it's reasonable to say life begins when the brain starts working, but is it human life? Does it feel pain? Pain is in the brain so it can't feel pain without a brain so I began there. The next step was finding out when they give a fetus anesthesia when they're doing surgery on it while it's still inside. That number is anywhere from 20-24 weeks so that's when life begins. Before that, it's nothing. After that, it's something. But what? Still a work in progress.
