RE: Intel for 700M$ will get a Fab that they will sell the existing equipment and then purchase equipment to do a "copy exactly" of their .25um process. This allows Intel to bring on .25um capacity
faster than building a new Fab.

If that is the case Intel will have to move all of the Alpha, StrongARM (DEC embedded processor) and all of their networking chips over to the new equipment to satisfy the deal that Intel maintain manufacturing capabilities for DEC right? Doesn't sound like an easy task or all that cheap either.
