You generally don't like the evil USA to the south-of-your-borders. OK! Me? My imperfect manifesto rant... I dream of pragmatism from leaders and representatives in all countries east and west. I'm a globalist more than most. I want universal transparency and ethics in secular, term-elected governments of and by the people. If you support these foundations, then I don't care if we disagree on issues, or commit occasional impersonal microaggressions (like a Sarah Silverman or some here.) Not nihilism or cynicism. What I do care about is valuing progress and justice-for-all including plus environmental justice. The radical part for me? Minimal generational financial privilege , FUNDING dynamic personal and community opportunity for future generations to solve problems and thrive (level access to education, child nutrition and health care etc.) Regarding polarized politics and policy -- we must be careful not to spark a civil or tribal war -- the staggering amount of firepower and fear in "America" is ready-fire-aim. (I say "red America" in the inaccurate conventional sense, technically America is North, South and Central America.) I think about moving to another country, but I still choose to be here and work for positive change. Every country right now is drowning in corruption and injustice, and that includes idealized Northern Europe where racism and xenophobia are not trivial. There are enough good people in the US to make me choose to stay here. In a civil war I will not attend the gunfights; ok I admit keeping my passport up-to-date just-in-case.
