I don't think you can use the Nobel prizes as the standard.

And I am sure they will have some down the road, as their science is second to no one's, or their educated.

I think you need to look at how far they came in just about 60 years.

As the Book:" The Birth of Korean Cool" points out their brutal educational requirements of the kids, while being brutal made their amazing evolution in democracy and GDP possible.

Today besides having the 11th largest GDP with only 50 million people and a vibrant progressive democracy, they are a world leader in technology and science.

Look how they tamed Covid even though they are right next to China.

Their entire country has internet 100 times faster than ours. And they are a world leader in technology and science, and on the political front they have put two presidents in jail.

We can't put even one in jail who is publicly guilty as sin.

They are a leading country in music production and Cinema.

This is an amazing country. I watch a lot of their cinema as it is so smart.

The movie Mr Sunshine is brilliant.

I have attached the opening ceremony of the 2018 Olympics and it was brilliant , with their using thousands of drones in artistic mastery of a light show.

Note; their high level of education can be achieved without the cruelty by just taking a bit more time. Their kids often study seven days a week until midnight.

I use them as an example for precisely that reason. They don't fit the data - they are smart, now chic, and yet, no Nobel prizes. Surprises me as much as anyone.
