Jeez I knew they had got high but not that high. These are crisis rates. I wonder if that means you have to hand the stuff over physically, though. I might not be willing to do that. it must mean a terrific short squeeze with shorts willing to pay such rates in desperation to forestall immediate bankruptcy. Or am i right?

If you check the historical rates, they were below 10% only at then end of January and below 1% last May.

I am surprised that the spot price for silver is not even stronger given these rates. I wonder where people who must make deliveries think they are going to get the silver. Anyone with a short position outstanding is --it seems to me-- at terrible risk and would be fortunate to cover it right now.
