I owned CDE and its precursor Callahan for many many years and still own some CDE.

I have repeatedly asked if anyone knows the status of a possible environmental clean-up suit in Idaho that could be very expensive for those mines. When I heard about it I sold almost all my CDE and bought PAASF, which turned out to be a good idea on other counts as well.

No problem we have been holders of CDE for a very long time but would rather be holding others at this time feel confident that we will get our money back but perhaps not much more which is really too bad for being correct about silver and investing in the wrong company. By the way do your homework I know CDE has over 5 ounces of silver per share in reserve, don't have the facts on HL, or SSC. CDE is still a major silver company it was trying to become a big gold producer but it's big project in Alaska is on hold until gold price recovers. The study I did determined that CDE has more reserves per share than many other mining companies but!!!!!!! They also have too much debt! Hope this helps.

<< I was aware of CDE but I thought they were primarily gold. >>

They are. I think it is roughly 50/50.. However, think they have more gold reserves than silver...same with HL.
