The "O Word" is showing up in articles.

Since the semiconductor industry has been in "short supply" since at least Q1 this year, I'm sure there's loads of overbooking. The article you referenced indicated there may be overbooking for Q4. As soon as the first buyer couldn't get his semiconductor on the desired date, perhaps way back in Q2 2022, I'm sure there has been over booking since then.

The question is what happens when the foundry industry shift from under capacity to .... enough capacity?

I have no idea. Usually orders pause for a quarter or three, then get back on some upward trajectory. When that will happen to the semi industry as a group is unknown. I'm reading articles that say autos will be in tight supply through all of 2022.

So, lets see what happens.
