12% is probably accurate.
by 'deduction' i was thinking about how much medicare will deduct from social security...
most of which, i think, is the Part B minimal deduction of ~$150/month...
but, yeah, throw the deductable into the equation...
looks like part a and part b, combined, increased about 4% in 2021, which is twice the increase
of cola/social security.
medicareresources.org

but with all the 'efficient' obfuscation of u.s. social security and medicare, it's rather
difficult to determine how much of all them 'freeby' 'entitlements' the 99% are
paying twice.

u.s. health care system is killing us.

--medicare goes up 12%--

well, seems that was a low estimate...
more like 18%+ for part b
which claws-back more than the 6% social security cola for a large number, if not most,
of low income seniors:

"...The standard monthly premium for Part B will be $170.10 [in 2022], up $21.60 from $148.50
[in 2021]..."

apparently, medicare is being ruined via neoliberal public-private 'partnerships', before the
government transitions into medicare-for-all, at which point medicare will be about the same
as the current 'shitty deal': obamacare.

western capitalism in its death throes.
