Dwight, RE: QCOM_ I've been sayin the Pac Rim problems and especially the SKorean IMF supervised austerity moves will result in bombshell announcements. We've been in a relief rally mode that the first quarter numbers aren't as bad as feared.. now we get a taste of what will undoubtedly be the workout reality for the region and many of our tech companies.

What's a shame is that analysts have recently pumped up the investor community that things aren't as bad as expected... this has led to a strong rally in techs, almost across the board. What they should have said IMO, is that things are difficult for many companies that pass their production through that area and will require a few quarters at least to settle and more in some cases to reverse the damage.

I'll enlarge that criticism to include Sec Rubin who said to investors the problem is contained, but that's politics.
