But to put things in perspective ask yourself if you expect the stock market as a whole to perform up to the same levels for the next 7 years. You'll make money long term with Compaq without a doubt but I think to expect results that mirror those shown is clearly unrealistic.

Besides, do not forget in the past 14 yers, CPQ is a pure PC box maker, the stock price is more vulnerable. Now CPQ is the market leader and not just on PCs.
